Credit Broking Survey

The FCA has announced details of the forthcoming credit broking survey.

The text of the announcement is shown below.

“Further to our email in May, we wanted to let you know that our pilot survey for 300 firms finished in June. As planned, the survey will now be sent to all remaining firms that hold the credit broking permission.

We have made a few minor changes from the pilot but have kept the fundamental design so that it is quick and simple to complete. 95% of firms in the pilot completed the survey within 30 minutes.

Further information is available on our webpage. The survey will be sent in batches over two weeks from 5 July 2021. Firms will have 15 working days to submit their responses.

We will send a warm-up/introduction email to firms in the week before they receive the survey. Firms will then be emailed a link to complete the survey online. The link we send to firms will be unique to each firm. If firms need a different individual within their organisation (or a consultant) to answer and submit the survey, the link can be forwarded to the required person.

We know firms will be concerned about phishing emails and scams. Firms should check the email is from either FCA@fcanewsletters.org.uk or FCACreditBrokingSurvey@fca.org.uk . We will remind firms of this both on our website and the introductory emails to them.

If they do not receive the survey, firms may wish to check junk or spam folders.

If firms have any questions when completing the survey, they will be able to refer to the frequently asked questions (FAQs) on our webpage in the first instance, or alternatively can contact our Supervision Hub or email us at firm.queries@fca.org.uk.”
