We have completed the latest upgrade to ATEB suitability on 29th October 2017.
Details of the enhancements can be found below, but some of the highlights are:
Changes to Attitude to Investment Risk (ATR)
Users now have the option to include the ATR at an overall report level selected from the ‘Introduction to Advice’ section thus providing more user options. Although the ATR can be selected at three different levels within the report structure, the number and types of recommendations being made will determine where it best sits within a report. We have also revised the suggested text options available under the Capacity for Loss sub sections to assist with the description of a client’s position and ability to absorb the outcome of volatility.
Revised Current Personal & Financial Circumstances
In response to client feedback we have increased the number of fields available for recording client personal & financial circumstances when including a snapshot of fact find information. We have also made a number of fields available as Joint fields to complement the existing options for Client 1/Client 2. It should be noted that these fields are for recording jointly held assets/liabilities, rather than being the sum of both Client 1 & 2 fields. If figures are not required they should be left blank.
New ‘Rate Switch’ Recommendation for Mortgages
We have included a new recommendation type of ‘Rate Switch’ within the Mortgage Recommendation area. This is to cater for clients who may be staying with their original lender on a new deal rather than re-mortgaging.

This change adds the ability to capture total income, expenditure, pensions, investment and property in a table format on a joint basis including newly added business, property and other assets value boxes. |
‘Product Recommendation Reasons’ renamed to ‘Recommendation Reasons’ |
Selected from: Report Builder → Mortgages/Protection/Investment/Retirement Advice → Recommended Plan |
When providing advice on existing plans the reasons are more relevant to the suitability of the action taken rather than the plan itself; when providing advice on a new plan the reasons are why the new plan is suitable, we have therefore renamed the overarching Product Recommendation Reasons tab in the wizard to Recommendation Reasons to improve clarity. |
