We have some exciting news on the latest upgrade to ATEB Suitability on 6th March 2024. This update comes at no additional cost and provides a new addition to our content integration library.

We have partnered with Waverton Investment Management to provide our customer firms with access to the following:
- A description of their service
- A description for each of their portfolio ranges:
- Waverton Managed Portfolio Service (MPS)
- Waverton Multi Asset Fund Range
This functionality can be enabled by a Company Administrator via the Content Integrations screen.
Waverton Investment Management was originally founded as J O Hambro Investment Management (JOHIM) in 1986 by Richard Hambro. For the first fourteen years the company was owned by the Hambro Family and senior management. In 2001, JOHIM was acquired by the Credit Suisse Group, although remained an independently managed entity. In 2013, Credit Suisse agreed to sell JOHIM to Somers Limited, and to the existing management team, thus re-establishing our credentials as an independent owner-managed investment management house. Our original investment philosophy and focus on individual client service remained unchanged and all Directors of the firm have a direct equity stake in the business, thus aligning themselves with the interests of their clients.
Following the acquisition from Credit Suisse, we changed our name from JOHIM to Waverton Investment Management in recognition of the new structure of the firm. We remain as always a discretionary investment management house dedicated to creating high quality investment portfolios and providing a personal service for financial advisers, private individuals, trusts, charities and institutions. AUM £10.9bn as at 31.12.23.
Please note – we have also rebranded our ‘ATEB Compliance’ risk profile integration following the recent rebrand from ‘ATEB Compliance’ to ‘Thistle Initiatives’.

FCS Transitional Arrangements
Steve Bailey Compliance Update
As you will be aware the Financial Services Authority ceased to be and the Financial Conduct Authority took over the regulation of financial advice firms on 01 April 2013.
The FSA issued PS13/05 last week which includes updated rules and transition arrangements. The policy statement itself is 88 pages but the ‘appendix (3)’ that accompanies it is a mere 1990 pages so you must excuse us for not as yet absorbing every word. The document can be seen here.
